Fly Tyers Needed to Help Disabled Veterans - Monthly Fly Tying at Bedford MA VA Hospital

I have been the Team Leader for Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, an organization dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing at the Bedford VA for a number of years. The program was put on hold temporarily due to staffing issues at the hospital but we are restarting the fly tying sessions the evening of December 7th at 6:15 PM. The sessions last between an hour and 90 minutes.

We have all of the equipment and fly tying material all we need are folks to sit down with a veteran and tie a few flies. We do this in the nursing home so most of the veterans are older and it’s more about sharing time with them then it is about fly tying per se. If you have any fly tying capability at all your help would be very much appreciated.   We do the sessions once a month but you can choose to participate any time you wish, i.e. we are not looking for a long time commitment. If you could help now and then it would be great. Please let me know if you can help on December 7th. If you have any questions email them to me or send an email to steve@captainkirkenterprises.com.
