Several tributaries of Lake Erie near Buffalo are great Salmon and Steelhead
fisheries and are within driving distance of Boston. A slide presentation
will be given and several club members who have fished these waters will discuss
the best times to go and give suggestions on tackle, techniques, and lodging.
In Montana, carp are sometimes called “Bronze Bonefish” because of the way they
fight. Believe it or not, big ones fight very much like large striped bass.
Once hooked, they put their heads down and take off on long powerful runs. They
can be caught fly fishing or on bait. They are a highly sought after species in
Western Europe but are often overlooked as a worthy gamefish in the US. We will
show a video and discuss tactics, tackle, bait, techniques, and nearby
locations for carp fishing. The Concord and Merrimack Rivers are ideal and hold
large numbers of fish. If you are passionate about fishing, just curious, or
interested in improving your skills please join us.
Event is free and open to the public. Please register on club website using link below:
Children welcome.
